Frederick Ballantyne death & obituary: The former Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has died at the age of 83.
Governor Ballantyne passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at his home in Villa. The death of Ballantyne was announced on XtremeFM by Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves.
“Sir Ballantyne, this country’s longest serving Governor General served from September 2nd, 2002 until July 31, 2019. His resignation came as a result of ill health, the Prime Minister announced at an event on July 20, 2019,” according to a post on Instagram by Xtreme104SVG
