Gavin Bagley Death – The 4-year-old boy who drowned in a Southbridge pool on Sunday, July 12, has been identified by the Worcester District Attorney’s Office as Gavin Bagley of Corning, Iowa.

A GoFundMe account has been created by Gavin’s mother, Philisha Bagley. This is to help with the funeral and transportation cost.

She wrote on the GoFundMe page saying: “We are from Corning, Iowa and are trying to make arrangements to get  my baby home. This is a horrible time for us all and any and all help is welcomed.”

“The little boy has three older brothers who “are going to miss him sooo much!”

“I can’t imagine life without my baby boy.”

According to Philisha,  her son drowned while visiting family in Massachusetts.

According to the Southbridge Fire Department, firefighters were called to 48 Sunnyhill Road around 4:07 p.m. Sunday for a report of a child at the bottom of a pool.

Upon the arrival of the Southbridge Fire Department paramedics four minutes later, they met a Southbridge police officer already performing CPR on the boy.

According to the fire department “The resuscitation efforts were continued while on scene by our paramedics and advanced level of care was continued throughout the transport to Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.”

Despite all efforts to save Gavin, he succumbed to the cold hands of death.

Fire Chief Paul F. Normandin Jr. said,“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this young boy.”
