George MacDonald death & obituary: Midland Mayor and Councillor George MacDonald died over the weekend in January, 2020.
MacDonald cause of death is not said. The Town of Midland on Monday announced George’s death via Twitter.
“We are sad to share the news that former Midland Mayor and Councillor George MacDonald passed away over the weekend.
George was a long-time member of Council, having served four terms as Mayor, from 1995-2006, and three terms as a Councillor, from 1989-1994 and 2014-2018. He also served as Warden of Simcoe County in 2003 and 2004. To honour him, flags will be at half mast at Town Hall,” The Town tweeted.
