Gheorghe Dogărescu Death | Gheorghe Dogărescu Obituary – Romanian Handball player Gheorghe Dogărescu died on the 18th of August 2020 at the age of 60. He represented Romania at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Games, where Romania won the Bronze medal. From 1979 to 1995 he played for Dinamo Bucharest, a team with which he won a national title, and in 1982-1983 he participated in the Cup Winners’ Cup final.
According to Lost Olympians (@LostOlympians), in 1985 and 1987, Gheorghe Dogărescu was part of the Romanian national team that won the gold medal at the World University Games. He received the title of Emeritus Master of Sports and was awarded the National Order “Sports Merit” class II. We extend our condolences.
