Robert Deveral Barber Vehicle Crash | Obituary:
40-year-old Robert Barber died in a motor accident that happened in Rusk County on Thursday.
Robert and one other person named Chad Eugene Blackman, a 32-year-old of Grand Pairie passed away in the car crash, Thursday, December 6, 2019.
DPS spokeswoman Sgt. Jean Dark said troopers responded at 3:25 p.m. to the crash on FM 2012 south of Laird Hill.
A preliminary investigation showed Barber was driving was traveling northbound in a pickup on FM 2012 when the front right tire blew out, Dark said. The truck entered the ditch and struck a pipe fence and a tree.
Barber and passenger, Prairie’s bodies were taken to Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore.
Investigations say none of them were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
