Hallie Kraft Obituary- Hallie Kraft at age 3 from Cedar Rapids has passed away after a drowning accident in June. Hallie Kraft, died Sunday evening at 9:02 p.m. after receiving treatment at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital pediatric intensive care unit due to a near-drowning.
On Sunday, June 28, first responders said Hallie was found face down in a swimming pool and had life-saving medical procedures performed on her by a neighbor.
Hallie’s mother, Candace Kraft, tells Iowa’s News Now her daughter was on life support for a week.
Based on preliminary information, family members said they had been outside around a fire pit when the toddler wandered off, climbed up the ladder on the side of the pool and fell forward.
