Hashmatulh Yousefi Death – The Saratoga County Sheriff has released the identity of a man who drowned in the Town of Day Beach on Sunday, July 19, as 31-year-old Hashmatulh Yousefi, of Scenectady.
This release was made on Monday, July 20, 2020.

According to officials, the sad incident happened just after 12:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Town of Day Beach on North Shore Road in Day.
Emergency responders got a call on the report of a missing person and swung into action.
Officials report that Yousefi had been at the beach to spend the day with family and friends when he went missing.
The victim was discovered and pulled out of the water by good Samaritans who were assisting in the search. In an attempt to revive him, responding deputies immediately deployed their defibrillator and performed CPR.
The EMS and fire responders later arrived and took over life-saving efforts, but all efforts to revive him was unsuccessful. He was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy which was carried out on Monday revealed his cause of death as drowning, says the officials.
