Alvin Byrd missing – Police issue an endangered missing person alert for 89-year-old  Alvin Byrd

An endangered missing person alert has been issued by the Chicago Police Department who are seeking help from the public to find 89-year-old Alvin Byrd, who has gone missing. There is increasing concern for Byrd, who is in need of constant attention due to his age.

He was last seen in West Englewood on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at about 9:00 a.m, in the 6100 block of South Hermitage Avenue. Please help bring Byrd home, as police report reveals that he suffers from mild dementia, and might be in danger.

Alvin Byrd description

He is described as a white male, with gray hair, brown eyes, weigh about 120 pounds and is about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a white ball cap, black hoodie, blue windbreaker, brown pants and white gym shoes.

According to police, Byrd is known to frequent the McDonald’s restaurants at 47th and Cottage Grove, 47th and Loomis, 64th and Ashland and 55th and Michigan.
