Hugh Murphy Death | Obituary – Former TCA President Mr Hugh Murphy Suddenly passed away, Hugh was the consummate volunteer over the past 22 years as a member of TCA clubs and put in thousands of hours developing curling in the Greater Toronto area. He was also a past Board Member of the Ontario Curling Association (CurlON).
In particular, Hugh was a strong advocate for youth curling, running the junior program at Oakville for a number of years, chairing the highly successful Optimist bonspiel and coaching several bantam and junior teams. In his time as TCA President, Hugh was instrumental in bringing the outdoor curling to the City of Toronto and for adding the Mixed Doubles to our TCA line up.
The will be greatly missed in the community for a very long time may his soul rest in perfect peace.
