Lions Park Beach Death – The authorities have confirmed the death of a man, 44, from Lakeview Indiana, who drowned on Thursday while trying to rescue his children from drowning at Lions Park Beach in St. Joseph on Lake Michigan.
According to St. Joseph Public Safety Department, when the emergency crew arrived, several people were struggling in the water.

Those struggling were the man’s children in ages 17 and 12. They were rescued from the water by a St. Joseph Reserve officer, but their father unfortunately drowned.
A man on a surfboard also rescued two other people struggling in the water.
The deceased man’s identity is yet to be released.
