Jacob Trapp Death | Jacob Trapp Obituary – 23 year old motorcyclist identified as Jacob Trapp, of Burlington, Kentucky was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Northern Kentucky Wednesday, 12th of August 2020. According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, crews responded to the crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 42 and Fowlers Lane in Union, Kentucky, at around 6:04 p.m.
Reports says that a 64 year old man was driving his 2013 Nissan Pathfinder south on U.S. Highway 42 when he attempted to make a left turn into the Kroger lot. The man then realized the entrance was closed, so he attempted to make an improper right turn to Fowlers Lane while he traveled across the straight southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 42. While making the right turn, the man’s vehicle hit a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Jacob Trapp. The man’s vehicle then hit a 2018 Lincoln MKC that was stationary on Fowlers Lane at the red light.
According to WLWT5, Trapp was transferred to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Florence where he died. The two other drivers were not injured in the crash, according to the sheriff’s office. Alcohol and drug use do not appear to be factors in the crash. Deputies said the motorcycle’s speed at the time of the crash is considered a factor, according to multiple witnesses at the scene. The road was shut down for over three hours as authorities continued to investigate. Investigations is still being carried out.
