James Davies Death | James Davies Obituary – James Davies a Canadian Cyclist has passed away. James Davies represented Canada in Cycling Road and Track events at the 1956 Melbourne Summer Games. Jim started his bicycle racing career at the young age of fifteen, racing throughout the Pacific Northwest winning Provincial and National titles both on the road and in the velodrome. In the 1954, he competed British Empire Games held in Vancouver, as well as the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia.
His passion for cycling remained a constant throughout his life, and something that he passed on to his family and to the people he loved. Jim’s cycling continued well into his eighties, still riding his favourite bike routes and logging the miles. He died at the age of 86.
