James Shepherd has died Friday night, December 20, 2019. He was 68-years-old at the time of his death. Shepherd was the co-founder of the Shepherd Center.
James founded the the center after a spinal cord injury he sustained in 1973 that left him paralyzed. Friends and families are mourning the death of James.
In a Twitter tribute, Charlie Daniels spelt his name James “Shepard.” We do not know which is the correct spelling, but which ever it is, James was a “good man.”
“A good man passed away last night. One of the truly unsung heroes in the movement to help veterans overcome ptsd and so many other problems. James Shepard only lived for 68 years but he touched thousands of lives Shepard’s Center stands as a fitting memorial to this great patriot”
