James Strout Death | James Strout Obituary – James Strout, 48, of Lewiston, was killed Saturday afternoon, 22nd of August 2020 in Turner while attempting to avoid colliding his motorcycle into another vehicle, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office along with Turner Fire and Rescue responded to a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Lower Street and Potato Road in Turner. Deputies and personnel from Turner Fire and Rescue arrived to find James Strout unresponsive. Strout passed away at the scene from his injuries.

Reports from sheriff’s office says Strout was driving his 1997 Honda motorcycle north on Lower Street when he abruptly braked for a vehicle that was making a left hand turn from Potato Road onto Lower Street. Strout’s motorcycle and Briana Perkins, 24, of Turner’s car never collided with each other. Strout braked to avoid Perkins’ car and his motorcycle skidded striking a guardrail. Strout was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Perkins and her passenger immediately stopped and rendered aid to Strout. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
