Two students of Vandalia Community High School were died in a two-vehicle accident that happened around 6:20 p.m. at east of East 14th Road, Coffeen, just an hour southeast of Springfield.
The terrible vehicle crash happened on Saturday evening, November 16, killing four people which included two students on Illinois 185 near Coffen in Montgomery County.
There was a vigil for the students, both freshmen, at the high school Sunday, November 17. The four were returning home from Williamsville, where they attended Saturday’s Class 3A quarterfinal football game.
The accident remains under investigation.
