Jeremy Bush Death – The investigation of the death of a South Bend Firefighter who lost his life as a result of a fatal crash on Tuesday, August 4 at 10th and Union Streets in Mishawaka is ongoing by the St. Joseph County’s Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT).
The firefighter has been identified as 41-year-old Jeremy Bush, of Mishawaka.

The crash occurred between a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Bush and a black Dodge Charger.
Bush was riding with his 15-year-old son southbound in the right (outside) lane on Union Street near the intersection and the Charger was driving westbound on 10th Street and had just come to a stop at a stop sign at Union Street. Union Street has two lanes that travel northbound and two lanes that travel southbound, with no turn lane in the middle. The collision happened at the intersection, says official report.
Jeremy died at the scene and his son who was thrown out of the motorcycle sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital, says the officials.
The driver of the Charger identified as a 30-year-old man from Mishawaka cooperated with the investigators as he remained at the scene.
An autopsy for Bush is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2020, in Fort Wayne, IN.
Bush till death was employed as a firefighter, SBFD Firefighter First Class (assigned to E3 at Station 3, sworn on the job in October of 2000, per SBFD Administration).
The investigation of the crash still continues by the the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT).
