John King Death | Obituary – Founder of the Oxford Pro Musica Orchestra, John King age 76 sadly passed away after suffering from cancer . The Oxford Pro Musica Chorus, now Singers, was founded by Michael Smedley to sing with John’s orchestra.

After suffering cancer, he died on June 22 aged 76.

Born in Lancashire in 1943, Mr King attended Bolton School where he developed a passion for music.

While reading Law at Wadham College, Oxford, he was regularly involved in music, playing the trumpet with the Oxford University Orchestra, and the Oxford Orchestral Society under Sydney Watson.

John King was a greater icon to the community and will be forever remembered as a great inspiration to the younger generation.
