Springfield Township: Thursday was Joseph Mermer’s birthday, but it was the day concerned friends and families members mourned his death.
According to report. Mermer’s body was found by a friend who went to the house in the 800 block of South King Road to check on his well-being. The friend found the house locked but gained access through a ground-floor window, then called 911 to report his discovery, the statement said.
Lucas County Sheriff John Tharp said the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been enlisted in investigating the death of Joseph Mermer, whose 48th birthday was Thursday.
