Joshua Richard Weisz Death – According to Butte County Sheriff, Fred Lamphere, the Rapid City man who died last Friday after he fell off his jet ski and drowned in the Belle Fourche Reservoir has been identified as 33-year-old Joshua Richard Weisz.

According to news release, the accident was reported around 6:06 p.m on Friday, July 10. Upon the arrival of the Law enforcement, they found people taking turns to give Weisz CPR.

According to prelim report, Weisz and a woman were around 100 to 200 yards from the shore when they suddenly fell off their jet ski. The other passenger was able to grab the jet ski but Weisz was unfortunate. They were not on any life vests.

Weisz was brought on to the shore and administered CPR by people who saw what happened and went to help.

He was later brought to the Spearfish Regional Hospital by the Belle Fourche Ambulance Service. He was pronounced dead in the hospital.

According to Lamphere, investigation is being handled by the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks and will release more information later. ​
