Juan Jose Mesa Death | Juan Jose Mesa Obituary – Juan Jose Mesa was stabbed to death next to a silver sedan near Okeechobee Road and the Palmetto Expressway on Monday, 29th of June 2020. A mother and son have been arrested in connection to the death of 45 years old Juan Jose Mesa. Jason Gonzalez, 18, and his mother Yunet Enriquez, 39, were charged with second-degree murder with a weapon and armed burglary. A surveillance video showing an argument that took place earlier that same day between Mesa and Enriquez; Mesa’s estranged wife; in the area of West 12th Avenue and 25th Place was released by the police.
Detectives said the suspects’ statement conflicts with the video. Gonzalez claimed Mesa was dragging his mother, Enriquez, to his car, and he stabbed him in her defense but the video showed the mother and son chasing after Mesa. They held the car door open while Gonzalez repeatedly stabbed Mesa. He drove from the scene but was later found dead next to his car.
