Police are growing increasingly concerned after a missing teenager failed to show up for school. Officers are desperately trying to trace Kaitlyn Gover, who is missing from the Edinburgh area.

The 13-year-old’s whereabouts are currently unknown but she was last seen at Baullie Place near to Portobello High School  earlier today at 8.30am.

Kaitlyn was last seen wearing a maroon/red hooded top, black jeans, black trainers and was carrying a black Nike rucksack with white speckles thereon. The teenager also has distinctive dyed purple hair.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
