Kaseem Scott Death – The police has confirmed that death of a man who was just released from prison last week and was fatally shot and killed in a Staten Island deli around the corner from his home around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

The victim was identified as 25-year-old Kaseem Scott by the police on Thursday, July 23.

Scott was shot in the chest inside Holland Deli on Richmond Terrance near Holland Ave. in Arlington .

He was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center by Medics, but he unfortunately passed on.

Reasons behind Scott’s killing still remains under investigation, though police suspect his criminal past.

He was previously arrested 25 times, 15 of which were sealed cases, says police.

In Feb. 2017, Scott survived a shooting at Touch Gentlemen’s Club on Victory Blvd., and was arrested after police found a gun in his home. Scott told police he got it for protection, according to a law enforcement source. He pleaded guilty to a gun possession charge and was sentenced that December to up to four years in prison.

He was conditionally released on Thursday, July 16.

A Facebook friend commented, “I can’t believe this happened like this bro. You ain’t even been home a full 7 days if I’m not mistaking. Never have I felt such pain in my life.”

Another friend said, “He was a blessing to the community. An outgoing person, always happy.”

Another friend, who pleads to be anonymous said Scott loved to play basketball.

“I’m lost that he’s lost,” he said. “This s— (gun violence) happens all the time but you shouldn’t die. But I guess you just gotta keep up.”
