Keith Ellis Death – The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office have released the identity of a man who was shot to death in the doorway of his Clearview Parkway apartment on Sunday, July 26, as 51-year-old Keith Ellis,of Metairie.
Ellis died as a result of series of gunshot wounds, says the Chief Death Investigator Mark Bone.

The sad incident happened just before 8:50 a.m in the 1900 block of Clearview Parkway.
A surveillance video displays Ellis talking with a man who was holding an umbrella and standing outside his apartment. Suddenly the man lifts a gun and fired at Ellis several times.
According to the police, a man identified as Corey Ivey, 43, was arrested in the killing and booked on charges of second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and having an outstanding attachment, according to Jefferson Parish jail records.
By the time deputies arrived, Ivey had fled the scene. Ellis was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead later. He died of his injuries.
Ivey who was previously convicted for cocaine possession and heroin possession, resisting an officer, obstructing justice and distributing cocaine was being held on Monday, July 27, at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna in lieu of a $775,000 bond, says the Jefferson Parish court records.
A second bond for the outstanding attachment was set at $775.
