I’m utterly distraught to hear that Keith Tippett has died. Such a lovely man as well as a great, great English composer, bandleader and pianist — one of our very finest, so creative and open-minded and pure in musical spirit. Profoundest condolences to Julie.

RIP Keith Tippett who showed me great generosity when I took my first tentative steps towards sessions based on improvisation back in the early 90s. He forged an undeniably unique path wherever fortune happened to find him.
