Koishi John Nishimura Death | Obituary – Sadly, Deputy Cadet Koichi “John” Nishimura died two weeks away from completing his academy training and becoming a Deputy Sheriff.
Nishimura passed away Tuesday, June 23 during a training exercise. He joined the Sherrif’s Office in 2017 as Custody Support Assistant at the Main Jail.
“It is with great sadness to announce the tragic and unexpected loss of Deputy Cadet Koichi “John” Nishimura, who was two weeks away from completing his academy training and becoming a Deputy Sheriff.
John joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2017 as a Custody Support Assistant at the Main Jail. He was known to his peers for his hard work, dedication and willingness to take on additional assignments while unselfishly assisting those around him. John was described by his family as loving, caring and willing to help anyone. He is survived by his loving wife Yvonne and their two children.
