Laguna Beach High School is mourning the death of Jasmen Wilkinson. A school teen girl who died on November 6 in a deadly vehicle crash on Laguna Canyon Road.
Jasmen was 14 when she was involved in a tragic accident that happened on November 5, she died a day after.
Jasmen made everyone around her happy. Now friends at Laguna Beach High School are mourning her death.
“She would never let her friends be sad and she was always there for people,” said Benji Jenkins, 14, who was among one of her closest friends. “I will probably remember her laugh the most. She was always laughing, and her laugh was like medicine. It always made me feel better.”
Laguna Beach police Sgt. Jim Cota said Jasmen and her 11-year-old sister, Lana, a fifth-grader at El Morro Elementary School, were being driven to school by a family friend, whom police identified as a 74-year-old man when they got accident that led to the death of Jasmen.
A celebration of life will be held for Wilkinson at noon on Saturday, Nov. 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 682 Park Ave. in Laguna Beach.
