Lance Baumgarten Death – The authorities have released the identity of the victim who was fatally stabbed on Thursday morning on the 1700 block of North 7th Street as 33-year-old Lance Baumgarten of Rapid City.
A suspect to the stabbing identified as a 29-year-old from Box Elder, Barry Allman, was arrested on Friday and taken to the Pennington County Jail.

He was arrested near Wanblee by Oglala Sioux police and faces charges of first-degree murder, according to Robert Ecoffey, chief of the Oglala Sioux Tribe’s Department of Public Safety.
After the police received the 911 call on a stabbed man lying in the grass on Thursday around 4.50 a.m, they responded to the scene and upon their arrival found Baumgarten suffering from stabbing injuries.
He was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
