Lavon McCreary was shot to death on Monday, December 1, 2019 at the Pic-N-Save on West Front Street.
CMcCreary was killed in Evergreen shooting, according to police. A resident confirms his cousin, Lavon McCreary, was shot and killed at the grocery store.
The shooting suspect Michael Colin Mitchell is currently in custody for the shooting. According to District Attorney Steve Wadlington, Mitchell is currently in custody for the shooting but has not been charged.
Wadlington says Mitchell has no past criminal record. McCreary was reportedly pregnant and already a mother, according to family members.
Wadlington did not confirm Mitchell and McCreary’s relationship.
