Layla A. Williford-Mason died February 23, 2020 following severe car accident that took place at Route 111 and Broadway Avenue in South Roxana, report said.
Layla A. Williford-Mason passed away Sunday at about 8:00 p.m in crash. She was traveling in a Nissan Altima as a passenger, when for reasons unknown, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it struck a Chevrolet pickup, she was severely injured and uncommunicative at the spot, police said.
Mason was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. She passed on at the age of 6 from the injuries sustained in the accident, report said.
The accident remains under investigation.
