Lina Nunez Death | Obituary – A 10-year-old was shot and killed inside a Logan Square home, Saturday, June 27, 2020. According to multiple reports, Nunez was in an apartment when a bullet flew in through the window and struck her in the head.
Nunez was shot in the head at about 9:40 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Dickens Avenue. She was taken to Stroger Hospital where was later pronounced dead.
Earlier Saturday afternoon, a 1-year-old boy was fatally shot in Englewood. A 17-year-old boy was also killed in another shooting that morning in Humboldt Park.
People of Chicago are asking the government to invest in violence prevention as homicide in the state continues rising.
