Lou Ragland Death | Lou Ragland Obituary – Lou Ragland sadly passed away at his home in Las Vegas surrounded by loved ones. Lou worked closely with Louise and Thomas Boddie over the course of the Cleveland chapters of his career, recording solo and with the groups Hot Chocolate, Love For Dollars and Cents, Wildfire, and Love Apple.
Even in his final months, Lou held court in his living room most days, tended to by a cadre of friends & followers employed to carry out his seemingly endless projects. “I’ll see all of you again, don’t worry,” Lou told us. “‘Into The Next World’ was a promise, not just a song.”
Many consider 1978’s Lou Ragland Is The Conveyor to be his masterwork. 42 years on, “Understand Each Other” retains every bit of its original potency. That record also marked the start of the second half of Lou’s life, with his move to Las Vegas
He seemed to know every player and percussionist in the region and gave many their start in the business. Lou was a builder and a connector. He was known to be an amazing person he contributed passionately to his community and country . he will be greatly missed.
