Lynn Zimmerman Death – The body of the teenager who drowned in Grant River on Saturday afternoon, August 8 has been recovered by the emergency crews and identified as 17-year-old Lynn Zimmerman, from Livingston.
According to official report, Zimmerman went missing after he dove off a bank on the Grant River on Saturday and never resurfaced.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reports that emergency crews were dispatched to an area on the Grant River along Pigeon Rd., about one mile from County U in the Waterloo Township, after they received the report of a teen who dove into the river and never resurfaced.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Zimmerman had been with a group of 12 friends and family members who were canoeing the Grant River. Most of the group had decided to stop for a swim in the area along the river.
Zimmerman was later located by the emergency crews on the bottom of the river where he had entered the water. He was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene, says the Sheriff’s Office.
His death is still under investigation.
