The circumstances that led to the crash that killed 64-year-old Manjulaben Patel was quite a confusing one to us.
The fatal crash happened on Interstate 81 Southbound, close to mile marker 27.2, Southampton Township.
In brief; there was lane confusion between an “unknown vehicle,” and Toyota Sienna that Patel was traveling in.
The confusion led the Toyota to hit the “unknown vehicle,” authorities say the Toyota had entered left hand lane and struck the unknown vehicle
When the Toyota attempted to pass the unknown vehicle, authorities say it entered the left hand lane and struck the unknown vehicle.
The Toyota got stuck to the unknown vehicle, and the unknown vehicle began to spin and then overturned. The Toyota got off the stuck with unknown vehicle but also lose control.
According to the crash release, the Toyota came to a final rest about 30 feet from the roadway. One of the passengers, 64-year-old Manjulaben Patel, was found dead upon arrival at the scene.
