Mark Pellow Death – The New York State Police have confirmed and released the identity of the man who drowned to death while swimming in the Salmon River Reservoir on Sunday August 16, as 29-year-old Mark Pellow from Central Square, New York.
According to the police, they responded to the area off County Route 17 in the town of Redfield after the report of a missing person just before 7.00 p.m on Sunday. Upon their arrival they were informed by Pellow’s friends who were swimming with him that he just went missing. The search for Pellow was launched immediately, but all were unsuccessful.

Pellow’s body was located on Monday, August 17 around 9. a.m. after an extensive search for him. He was located 6 feet under water and 40 feet from the shore, says the police.
The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Police, NYS Forest Rangers, Oswego County Search & Rescue, Onondaga County Sheriff’s AIR 1 aviation unit, and the Redfield Fire Department assisted the the New York State Police in the search.
