Marvin Wade Taylor Death | Obituary
48-year-old Marvin Wade Taylor was shot and killed in a driveway of a home located on Pickens Street in Chesnee. Coroner said Taylor’s body was found around 10 p.m. Friday
Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler identified the victim killed in Chesnee as Marvin Wade Taylor.
Preliminary investigation determined Taylor and the homeowner got into a fight inside the home, and that Taylor left after being shot, and then collapsed in the driveway.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Taylor was at the home with another male and female, who left after the shooting in a black vehicle, though they are still looking to speak with them about the incident.
The Sheriff’s Office says Taylor and the homeowner were acquaintances, and this was not a random act of violence, so there is no danger to the community.
The shooting is still under investigation.
