Matthew Conrad Death –Investigation is still ongoing concerning a man who drowned in a swimming pool on Monday afternoon, July 20, and who has been identified by the Indiana State Police as 54-year-old Matthew Conrad, of Terre Haute.
The ISP reports that Conrad was found unresponsive in the swimming pool of a house on Old Fort Harrison Avenue.

According to Police, Conrad was house-sitting, and was conducting pool maintenance when he tried to put the cover back on the pool.
His fiance who was inside the home, went outside to check on him, but found him in the pool. He was pulled from the pool and before the arrival of the emergency medical services, first aid was performed.
Conrad was later taken to Union Hospital for more treatment, but was pronounced dead on Tuesday morning, July 21, 2020.
An autopsy is planned today at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
