 Maybelle Hendricks Death | Quinton Joyner Obituary – Maybelle Hendricks sadly passed away, due to complications from COVID 19, Maybelle was the first female African American officer hired by Summerville Police in 1981, Maybelle Hendricks dedicated year of priceless effort in protecting hr community she was an inspiration and icon to may, She held positions with Charleston, Dorchester and Colleton County Sheriff’s Offices as well as the town of St. George Police Department before joining Ridgeville’s force. She will be greatly missed by her Familly and friends for the great impact she enforced to her state and country.

LT. MAYBELLE HENDRICKS, of Ridgeville, South Carolina, died of COVID-19 on August 17th. She was the first Black woman to serve with the Summerville, SC Police Department.
