Just relaying some sad news that I thought some of you may want to know about.Mrs. Merrill Cowart, an English teacher that many of you may have had, who had also just retired this year, passed away today… I am unaware of any other details. Very sad to hear. I always enjoyed her class…When I first met Merrill Cowart, I found a kindred spirit. We were both Southern girls living in the North. We began our friendship while we both attended St.John’s. She adored my children and I always told her that she couldn’t retire until she had both of them. She fulfilled her promise and even gave a bonus year. Not only was she a gifted teacher but I was fortunate to call her my friend. I would give anything to hear one more y’all… prayers for her family.
