Michael Bowen and Tadgh Murphy Death | Michael Bowen and Tadgh Murphy Obituary – According to news reports two men who were killed in a car crash in the early hours of Monday, 3rd of August 2020 have been named locally. 40 years old Michael Bowen from Sheepshead Peninsula and Tadgh Murphy, 19 from Glengarriff were pronounced dead at the scene. The single vehicle crash happened around 5:30am on the Kenmare Road when the car entered the water in Glengarriff. In reference to reports gotten from CorkBeo, the two other occupants of the car were taken to CUH and they are both believed to also be from the Glengarriff area. One man in his late teens suffered serious injures, while the other in his early 20s was left uninjured.
According to news release, Superintendent Declan O’Sullivan from Bantry Garda Station made an appeal for witnesses to come forward to Cork’s Red FM.”We are appealing for witnesses that may have seen a Black Volkswagen Jetta prior to the accident in the vicinity of Glengarriff last night.”A Garda spokesperson said “The services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested at the scene. The road is currently closed with local diversions in place.
