Foggy details surround the death of a man who was found by officials last week off of Highway 49 North.
According to details shared by the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, on July 14, a CAL FIRE unit driving in the Highway 49 North area between Bagby and Coulterville located a vehicle off the roadway in a remote area of the canyon.
Deputies and CAL FIRE units responded to the area down a very unkempt road and located a disabled vehicle and the body of Michael Falloure, 59, Mariposa, several feet from the vehicle.
The cause of death has not been determined as of yet. Officials are awaiting toxicology reports, which can take about six to eight weeks, said Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Kristie Mitchell.
