Michael Hoang Trinh Death –The authorities have released the identity of the man who was presumed drowned on Sunday after a boating accident and whose body was later recovered as 45-year-old Michael Hoang Trinh, of Portland.

According to reports, Trinh was thrown out from a boat on Sunday, August 2 on the Columbia River. He went under water and did not resurface, says the sheriff’s office.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol Unit, along with Portland Fire and Rescue, responded about 5 p.m. to the North Portland Harbor after the report of a body seen in the river.

Trinh was a passenger in the boat that flipped near Broughton Beach Park.
At the time of the accident, Trinh was not wearing a life jacket.

The investigation is still ongoing.
