Michael Lenden Kreul Death – The Virginia State Police on Thursday released the identity of the man who was killed in a fatal crash on Wednesday, July 29, on Interstate 81 as Michael Lenden Kreul, 30, of Lexington.
Authorities says around 5.18 a.m on Wednesday, Kreul was driving southbound near mile marker 158 in Botetourt County when his 2002 Dodge Ram veered off the right side of the road and struck a tractor-trailer that was illegally parked on the shoulder.

Kreul’s pickup landed in the roadway where it was struck by a another tractor-trailer.
He was immediately rushed to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The tractor-trailer drivers did not sustain any injury.
The crash is still under investigation.
