Michaela Nelson Missing: Ohio missing army national guard found alive
Ohio Army National Guard Spc. Michaela Nelson, who went missing in late October after failing to return to her unit earlier in the month has been found alive. She was reportedly found inside her car on Tuesday.
The private investigator Michaela’s father, Lance Nelson, hired in the wake of her disappearance said Michaela’s Dodge Charger was broken down in Columbus.
26-year-old Michaela joined the Ohio Army National Guard’s Recruit Sustainment Program in September 2020. But according to a spokesperson with the Ohio National Guard’s Office of Public Affairs, Michaela failed to check in with her unit after training in South Carolina and did not report for drills in October.
Earlier: Lance Nelson, Michaela’s father filed a report with the Columbus Police Department on November 5, 2021. He also hired Private Investigator James Terry to help find Michaela Nelson.
Spc. Michaela Nelson is 26-year-old and she has not been seen by her family for over a week. This is very worrisome as they say it is unlikely for her to disappear and not contact her family. She was reported missing by her father who has been worried and fears she might be in danger.
Michaela’s last known contact was said to have been on the 26th of October with her family who has not heard from her since then. The 26-year-old who is a valuable member of the force was said to have been enlisted into the US Army in September 2020. The Ohio National Guard said, “Our No. 1 priority is ensuring she is found safe, and we will provide any assistance needed to her family and law enforcement.”
