Caleb Starr GoFundMe

A GoFundMe account with $73,540 raised of $90,000 goal was set up for Caleb. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family of the deceased. Below is the statement on the GoFundMe page.

On 7/10/20 Tpr. Caleb Starr, a Michigan State Trooper assigned to the Lakeview Post, was on duty in Ionia County and en route to a low priority call. A vehicle entered his lane and struck his patrol car head on. Tpr. Starr had to be extricated from his vehicle by Fire and EMS personnel and his own fellow Troopers.

Tpr. Starr was airlifted to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and is currently in critical but stable condition.

We are raising money for Tpr. Starr’s family. His wife, Rachael, is a civilian employee with the Michigan State Police. Together they have two  daughters, Evelyn who is 5yrs old and Rosalie who is 2 1/2 yrs old. The family lives in Mason, MI and is staying in Grand Rapids while Tpr. Starr is hospitalized there.

We are asking for donations for medical expenses, lodging, food, and bills. Everything a family shouldn’t need to worry about in a dire time.

Caleb is a positive, hard working trooper and a great partner. He always has a positive attitude and is sorely missed by his team while he is hospitalized. Please consider a donation to help his family focus on his journey forward and getting Caleb back on his feet.
