Mike Finley Death | Mike Finley Obituary – Mike Finley age 70 who was the king of St. Poets sadly passed away on Monday night August 10 2020 at his home on Dayton Avenuedue to complications from prostate cancer. Mike was a mastermind he was known to be a legend of poets, Mike was mad at the COVID 19 epidemic compromising his tour. He will be greatly missed.
“Finley said the virus robbed him of his Farewell Poetry Tour,” said award-winning poet and baker Danny Klecko, one of Finley’s closest friends. “I mentioned he’d already had two farewell tours, and he didn’t disagree, but he said three would be better.”
“He went to more events than anybody,” said Klecko, who knew Finley for 30 years. “He read at more events than anybody. There was no one like him. He was unstoppable, constantly on the scene and doing his best to entertain but also to be helpful, encouraging and supportive to people and the event.”
