Milton Glaser Death | Obituary – American graphic designer renowned for creating the “I ♥ NY” logo has passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of 91.

Glaser was an influential designer whose works have gained lots of popularity especially the “I ♥ NY” logo designed for a 1977 tourism campaign.

The logo quickly gained fame across the globe and has been by many for multiple purposes.

Milton Glaser died of  stroke, according to his wife Shirley, who spoke to New York Times.

So bummed to hear that Milton Glaser, the designer of the iconic I ❤️ NY logo, passed away on Friday at the age of 91. His logo has been copied many times by other states and institutions. The logo’s design is a textbook example of how simplicity can be a powerful means of conveying a message. Glaser updated this logo once after 9/11 with the words “more than ever” added to the end. To this day, it is one of the most recognizable tourism campaigns in the entire world. RIP to a true design legend.
