A mother and her two daughters were killed in a horrible vehicle accident in Guilford Count on Wednesday morning.
37-year-old Miranda Curtis was identified as the mother who died alongside her two daughters, 8-year-old Ariyana, a student of Vandalia Elementary School and 14-year-old Zyilyan, a Southest Guilford High School student, just before 8:00 a.m, on U.S. 421 near N.C. 62.
A 1992 Jeep SUV, driven by Curtis, was going slow because of mechanical problems and was hit from behind by a 2013 Toyota passenger car driven by Courtney Nicole Chrisco, 22, of Olivia.
Both vehicles caught on fire. Curtis and her daughters were pronounced dead at the scene. Curtis was reportedly taking her daughters to school at the time of the crash.
