Potential Shooter Alert – San Jacinto College

Mt. San Jacinto College was lockdown after a man with gun was spotted inside the campus, Wednesday morning.

Student and staffers at the college were all taking safety measures, a man entered student cafeteria, pointed a gun and then walked out, authorities said.

No shots were reported fired in the incident around 9:30 a.m. on the campus at 1499 N. State St. in San Jacinto, school spokeswoman Karin Marriott said.

There is heavy police presences in the school and around the school now.

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were on the campus searching for the suspect and also sealing off streets around it, said Deputy Robyn Flores, a spokeswoman for the agency.

“We are asking people to stay out of the area and let deputies do what they need to do,” Flores said. “There were no shots fired that we are aware of, and no reports of injuries,” she said.
