Mytia Barker Death – Obituary: Family and friends mourn the tragic passing of 24-year-old Mytia Barker was shot struck by bullet and killed when an “unknown gunman” opened fire around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 9th, 2020.
Barker was at a party near Claire Avenue and Pine Street when the gunman opened fire, striking her and 31-year-old O’Brian Moore, 434 S. Sixth St., Police Chief Bill McCafferty said.
Barker was rushed to a nearby hospital named Trinity Medical Center West before being flown by emergency helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Moore was shot in the leg, McCafferty said.
