This is a good picture of my sweet nephew Nathaniel Mroz. We lost him this weekend in a boating accident, at the young age of 20. He loved dogs, sports, people, family, and life. He enjoyed being on and in the water. He did a lot of living in 20 years, yet all of us agree 20 years wasn’t enough.

We are grieving with your mom and dad. All of us love you, Nate. We’re going to miss you. Until we see you again, rest in peace

EDIT: Thank you EVERYONE for the kindest words and prayers. It is so shocking to get this news, and I cannot imagine what my brother and Nate’s mom are going through emotionally, having to push through this, and how exhausting the traumatic news is to the body, as well.

I know it will take time for us all to get our mind around this event in our lives, yet our hearts will always have a “Nate-shaped” hole. This is true, even for our pets! Our family dog even began to cry when he heard the news – I was stunned! He only knew Nate from a few visits.

I am certain the immense love that continues to pour out from your generous prayers and thoughts expressed here will surround the entire family during the course of the many days ahead.
